Welcome to Kawan Village Lac de la Liez
Your ideal stopover during your holidays
Le Camping du Lac de la Liez is a 4-star campsite nestling on the shores of Le Lac de la Liez. Recently renovated and comfortably situated just a few kilometres from the A5 motorway, you are invited to benefit from all the comforts of our on-site facilities and services. Whether you are making a brief stop on your way north or south or staying for a longer relaxing holiday, we are there to tend to your daily needs.
Our pitches, whether touring or equipped with rental accommodations, are delightfully laid out on terraces. Nearly all offer beautiful views overlooking the lake, as well as of the medieval city of Langres.
The services have been installed at the site’s entrance, arranged around the terrace of the restaurant/bar that dominates over the pool. From this spacious terrace area you have stunning panoramic scenes of rolling countryside before your eyes.
Depending on the season, the campsite has set up a daily activities/entertainment programme, offering a morning children’s club, as well as sports’ activities or evening entertainment in the bar. The prevailing atmosphere on-site, however, remains tranquil, making Le Lac de la Liez your ideal base for a peaceful relaxing stay.

The Lac de la Liez restaurant’s chef honored
The restaurant’s chef was honored at the SITEO event (for the promotion
of tourism & accommodations) in 2009 held in Lyon. Discover a menu
including Tournedos Rossini with croutons, Foie Gras escalope and,
above all, a selection of succulent regional dishes based on the local
truffles. Thanks to these fine culinary dishes, the restaurant at Kawan

Auberive Abbey
Ancient and rich Cistercian abbey, Notre-Dame d'Auberive was founded in 1135 by St Bernard at the riverside of the Aube. The monastry, located at the border of the Champagne and Burgundy, particulary prosperous in the 13th century, is subjected to destruction from the Hundred-year war, from the religion wars in the 14th century then from the Thirty-year war (17th century). The old buildings were rebuilt in the 18th century during the great abbey reconstruction move initiated by the abbey of St Denis near Paris. In the 19th Century it became a women's prison. Its best known prisonner was Louise Michel, incarcerated 20 months because of the events of the Commune (anarchistic activities) in 1871 in Paris. Today the abbey has become a cultural centre with lots of summer activities : historical visits of the site, music concerts, centre of modern art.
